Valeos Transplant Society is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit organization.
Organ donation is society’s most beautiful and generous gift. Yet, far too often the potential of these gifts is never fully reached. And with more than 100,000 Americans awaiting transplant (and many others never even listed), we believe advancing today’s transplant ecosystem requires both iterative advancement and bold transformation.
Valeos is a new patient-centric nonprofit designed to improve organ transplant outcomes through data collaboration. We’re rallying the entire transplant community — from transplant patients, organ donors, and donor families to transplant centers, organ procurement organizations, and more — to work together to save and improve more lives.
By building the world’s largest de‑identified transplant data sandbox, collectively we can all unlock learnings and drive new innovation for more high-quality and equitable transplants, reduced waitlist times, and improved post-transplant life expectancy and quality of life.
Recipients, candidates, and donors (and their families) are our purpose.
Serve the patient community and ecosystem with great humility and curiosity.
Diverse perspectives enhance our approach in pursuit of excellence.
Fanatical transparency to the ecosystem through results and impact.
Valeos Transplant Society is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit organization designed to radically improve organ transplant outcomes.
We’re patient-founded and patient-centric focused on all solid-organ transplantation (that includes hearts, intestines, livers, lungs, kidneys, pancreases, and more). Our team — experts from transplant, healthcare, technology, and government — has come together to solve transplant's most difficult problems.
Valeos is the combination of Valeo and -os. Valeo is Latin for "to be well" and "farewell," while -os refers to "operating system."
